Day 1    Arrival in Lima - Hotel in Lima
We will be waiting at the airport holding a sign with your name on it. From there we will transfer to your hotel in Lima. Enjoy free time exploring the city. Night in Hotel.

Day 2    Flight Lima - Cusco - Afternoon City Tour of Cusco's Ruins
Enjoy free time in the morning to relax or explore Cusco's San Pedro Market, Plaza de Armas or Museums. From 2 pm - 7 pm you'll visit Cusco's major ruins beginning at Qoricancha followed by the caves of Q'enqo, Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay and Puka Pukara. Night in Cusco "Tika Wasi Casa Boutique" (or similar).

Day 3    Sacred Valley Tour - Night in Ollantaytambo
After a solid night's rest and a bit of acclimation to the altitude you will feel up for seeing Cusco's Sacred Valley. We'll spend the whole day there seeing the ruins of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo. We'll have some shopping time in Pisaq's big artesanal market and have a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba. The day concludes in Ollantaytambo in the afternoon with time to rest or explore the town. Night in Ollantaytambo.

Day 4    Train to Machu Picchu - Return to Cusco
This morning we will board our train to Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu (1.5 hrs). After arrival in Aguas Calientes we will go by bus up to Machu Picchu Citadel. After a complete guided tour (2 hrs) we'll have free time to take photos for another 2 hrs before returing to Aguas Calientes by bus. We will return to Cusco by train arriving at night.

Day 5    Flight to Puerto Maldonado - Boat transfer to Lodge - Caiman Lake - Lodge
Enjoy a short flight into the Amazon then boat transfer to Ecoamazonia lodge followed by a welcome drink, lunch and visit to Cocha Caiman in the afternoon. Meals are included during your 4 day stay here. Night in Lodge.

Day 6    Lake Apu Victor and Observation Deck - Lodge
Jungle walks to Lake Apu Victor and Observation Deck and a panoramic view of the lake and its inhabitants such as macaws, parrots, toucans, shanshos (hoatzins), camungos, herons, caimans and turtles with a slight chance to see the giant otter. In the afternoon we'll visit Monkey Island, just a few minutes from the lodge by boat in the middle of the Madre de Dios river. Here on this island trees provide shelter for monkey species such as maquisapas, capuchins, lion monkeys "leoncillo", frailes, cotos and other mammals such as the coati and sloth. Night in Lodge.

Day 7    Cocha Perdida (Lost Lake) - Monkey Island - Lodge
Jungle walks to Cocha Perdida deep into primary forests where we can observe otters, turtles, tapirs "sachavacas", caimans and various multicolored birds and fish. This area is known for its expansive swamps and diverse lagoons "aguajales". We´ll go up on the observation deck where we can get a view of the forest canopy from a bird's perspective. We will conclude our exploration with a canoe ride on the lake before returning to our lodge for lunch. Free time at the bar, game room or pool followed by dinner. Night in Lodge.

Day 8    Flight Puerto Maldonado to Lima - Departure
