These 9 days begin in Lima and a flight to Cusco for a City Tour of the ruins before exploring Puno's Lake Titicaca followed by the Sacred Valley and ending with a complete tour of Machu Picchu.
This trip involves travel by plane, boat, tour bus and train and 2 to 3 star hotels. Some light walking is required at the ruins.
2 flights, Expedition train, bus tickets and entrances included. Some meals are included.
Minimal physical walking. Machu Picchu is not yet wheelchair accessible.

Day 1 Arrival in Lima
We will be waiting at the airport holding a sign with your name on it. From there we will transfer to your hotel in Lima.

Day 2 Flight Lima to Cusco - City Tour
Pickup at your hotel early morning and transfer back to Lima's airport. Flight to Cusco and transfer to your hotel in Cusco. City Tour of Cusco in the Afternoon. Guided tour of Qoricancha, Q'enqo, Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay and Puka Pukara. Your tourist entrance ticket (BTG) is included. Stay the night in Cusco.

Day 3 Guided Bus Tour to Puno
Enjoy a guided bus tour on the way to Puno which leaves in the morning and includes a buffet lunch.

Uros Islands and Amantani Islands Full Day - Night on Amantani.

Another speed boat trip to visit Taquile Island in the morning followed by lunch and return to your hotel in Puno. Option to see the burial sites of Sillustani in the afternoon.

Day 6 Bus to Cusco - Free Day - Night in Cusco
This morning you'll return to Cusco by tour bus with another chance to enjoy the Andean scenery followed by free time in Cusco.

Day 7 Sacred Valley - Night in Ollantaytambo
Guided tour of Pisaq and Pisaq's market followed by lunch in Urubamba and another guided tour of Ollantaytambo. Stay the night in Ollantaytambo.

Day 8 Train to Machu Picchu - Return to Cusco

Day 2 Flight Lima - Cusco - Afternoon City Tour of Cusco's Ruins
Enjoy free time in the morning to relax or explore Cusco's San Pedro Market, Plaza de Armas or Museums. From 2 pm - 7 pm you'll visit Cusco's major ruins beginning at Qoricancha followed by the caves of Q'enqo, Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay and Puka Pukara. Night in Cusco "Tika Wasi Casa Boutique" (or similar).

Day 3 Guided Bus Tour to Puno - Free Time
After breakfast you'll take the Guided Tour Bus to Cusco by "Turismo Mer" and visit the ruins of Raqchi and "Sistene Chapel" church in Andahuaylillas. A delicious buffet is included followed by free time in Puno and a night in hotel.

Day 4 Uros and Amantani Islands (Puno)
This morning you'll transfer from your hostal to the port where you will continue by motor boat 30 mins to the legendary Uros Islands. Here you can walk along the floating reeds. From Uros and after another 2.5 hr boat ride through Lake Titicaca you'll reach Amantani Island where you will stay with a local family for the night. Expect the authentic food, music and dance of the Puno people. Meals are included.

Day 5 Taquile Island - Night in Puno
After breakfast we take a short boat ride to the neighboring Taquile Island, where we will tour around the ruins and visit these beautiful people, world famous for their intricate and fascinating weavings, after lunch we take the return trip to Puno. Arrival in the afternoon and transfer back to your hotel approx 4 pm.

Day 7 Sacred Valley Tour - Night in Ollantaytambo
After a solid night's rest and a bit of acclimation to the altitude you will feel up for seeing Cusco's Sacred Valley. We'll spend the whole day there seeing the ruins of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo. We'll have some shopping time in Pisaq's big artesanal market and have a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba. The day concludes in Ollantaytambo in the afternoon with time to rest or explore the town. Night in Ollantaytambo.

Day 8 Train to Machu Picchu - Return to Cusco
This morning we will board our train to Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu (1.5 hrs). After arrival in Aguas Calientes we will go by bus up to Machu Picchu Citadel. After a complete guided tour (2 hrs) we'll have free time to take photos for another 2 hrs before returing to Aguas Calientes by bus. We will return to Cusco by train arriving at night.
